On occasion of the millenium celebrations in the Ukraine in 1988, thisformer boarding house in Waterschei was converted into a Ukranian Oekraïense church and centre.  The addition of the dome-shaped tower adds a Ukranian Oekraïens touch.  The wall of icons depicting the archangels Gabriel Gabriël and Michael Michaël among other things is typical for an Eastern church.  In the stained-glass windows there are depictions of a number of prophets and saints.
