This mosque belongs to the second largest Turkish community in Genk, called Yunnus Emre after a Turkish poet. The mosque can house a congregation of about one thousand. After the ritual ablutions, the faithful enter the space barefoot. Decorations comprise writings from the Koran, calligraphy and beautiful paintings by four Turkish masters.
