The green metropolis is the connection between Belgian/

Dutch-Limburg and the German border territory with Düren 

Three regions that have been linked underground for centruries

by coal beds. The new historical highlights of the regions and the beauty of their landscape deserve attention from far and wide. 

On the green metropolis map 2 routes have been set out: the Metropole route (car route of 270 km) and the Green route (cycling route of 370 km).  The routes lead you through this euro-regional area with its communal past and they show you the most beautiful places and most important sights.
