The brand new swiming pool has an 8-lane, 50-metre competition pool and an adjustable floor so this pool can also be used for toddler swimming, ... The stands seat an audience of 500 and it has a true VIP area that can be used for breakfast swims, birthday parties or for the guests and members of the jury during competitions.  If you are ready to relax, you can use one of the eight new whirlpools. Eén One of the eye catchers is the new slide, a 63 m enclosed tube which winds along the outside of the building.  There is a special chairlift for wheelchair users.

Water skiing

Wouldn't it be wonderful to glide over the water behind a boat... Yes, it is fascinating and not really as difficult as it looks.

You can learn about the ins and outs at the Genker Watersport Vereniging for pure recreational waterskiën waterskiing and to try to get to the top. The Albert canal in Genk is the ideal location for a daytrip and enjoying an afternoon of waterskiing waterskiën.

If you want to put on the skis, it is not at all necessary to have your own boat. The Genker Watersport Vereniging will help you on your way, or rather on the water... Excitement guaranteed!

There are various disciplines in waterskiing, each with its own characteristics and skills. Beginners will learn the basics using two skis, but the transition to a monoski is not that far off; it offers more possibilities for elegant movements like slalom, figures, etc.

Currently wake boarding is very popular too. It is comparable to snowboarding. Moreover, there is a jump for real daredevils. As you can see, waterskiing Waterskiën is much more than just hanging behind a boat: there is show-skiën, show skiing, ski jumping, parasailing (with a parachute behind the boat), barefoot waterskiingën, acrobatics...

All these sports are available in Genk.
