Karting

Genk has the only permanent and approved outdoor karting circuit in Flanders. The circuit in Genk counts as one of the safest in Europe.

Thousands of people visit the circuit annually. They are visitors, pilots and recreational drivers. If there is no match, scores of afficionadoes come karting with their personal karts to throw themselves into the sport heart and soul.

At the same time there is lots of activity on the hire-kart circuit where you can go outdoor karting under the best possible circumstances. The speed here is considerably higher than it would be indoors. Because of the presence of the Genker Kart Shop, karters can count on technical supervision and support.

In Genk a number of famous names have laid down the basis for their motor sports carreers: Bas Leinders, Freddy Loix, Jos Verstappen, and more recently Jenson Button.

Companies and organisations can plan training-and promotional activities in the grounds and allow their employees and clients to join in the unique experience of karting in the open air, whether or not as a competition. Personal- or hire karts may be used.
